The Age of Understatement, is full of dense, dark and driven baroque pop, recorded with the help of producer James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco), with string arrangements handled by Owen Pallet (Final Fantasy), and made under the influence of classic Scott Walker albums and John Barry scores.
