Anyone care to suggest an off-board acoustic preamp? I've fitted a piezo bridge pick-up on my S&P and it clearly needs a high impedance preamp (as well as some equalisation) but a quick trawl through the mags has turned up nothing. Does anyone know if Stewart Ward does one? Or anyone else, for that matter?

The pick up is a Dean Markley Sweet Spot and initial impressions are that it was a swine to fit but sounds not bad once the eq is fiddled with. Plus it doesn't seem to have made any discernable difference to the acoustic tone of the guitar.

I know that Fishman make an outboard pre-amp for electro acoustic bass. They might make one for guitar too.

LR Baggs Paracoustic DI.

Raven Labs make a good one also.

For fun but at higher cost try the Yamaha AG Stomp.
