Hi everyone,
Ive got a mex tele. Its fine for all that bluesy srv stuff, but it lacks that humbucker punch that ive started to miss.
Not wanting the guitar to lose any of its original appeal (which i like), is there any way of putting a humbucker somewhere?
Like most ppl ive met, i kinda like the neck pickup more than the thin/twangy bridge. So would a lace sensor in bridge do the trick? i think it'd be a simple replacement, and i wouldnt have to fork out another bridge for a humbucker to be put in instead.
Whereabouts is a good place to buy cheap pickups online anyhow? i dont think id mind doing the mod myself, im a student engineer so i have an iron and some solder lying arnd.
Comments anyone? I would appreciate any help at all as ive never modded a guitar in my life. Thank UKMG for the mod-fetish ive been infected with.
