Hey all- I came across a 1970s West Fillmore amp in my travels (traded a raw Fender speaker for it). It appears to be a 200w 4x6550 guitar/bass amp (a la Marshall Major). There is a limited website by the owner/designer of West Amps at www.westlabs.com . I have restored it to playing status and heard it through a pair of Vox blueframe bulldogs (at a low volume so as to not to blow em) in a Bandmaster 2x12 cabinet. Wicked!!! Need another Fillmore owner out there to trade notes with. Would love a picture... Amp has a Dynaco Mk III output transformer and the trannies are massive! Lots of iron. I'd bet it weighs 90 lbs...! Thanks all Tim R. *honda305ATcomcast.net*

P.S. I wrote the original builder (dave west) and he seemed to indicate that less than 300-350 were made and that they are collectible....Who knew?

Also, there is a spray painted 'KICK on the top. Maybe the band name?

This was an amp used by the Grand Funk RR in the 70s I believe...

Yes... I have the promo poster/catalog foldout... no, you can't have it! I used to drool over West amps... never even saw one. We were into GFR as kids... still cover some of their material.
