The Beatles have always been my favorite group. They are the best band to come out of the 60's. When John met Paul it was probably the best meeting of 2 men in the music business. One should always consider the Beatles as strictly a rock group, however. Some say the Beatles are better than even Beethovan. Well I think they are better.

There is no question that every band formed since they became so dominant have tried to emulate their success largely to no avail. Yes there are some groups who do really well but for the most part they can't match the success of the Beatles. In part I think it is because every band now uses some kind of a formula to mold their success and they stick to it. The Beatles on the other hand, never used a formula. Every album was different and showed a natural progression in style.
