Mike Orlando - Guitar Phenomenon

You have got to admit that you are completley speachless after watching this.

I am.

But I will get over it to tell you a little about Mike Orlando is that he was chosen, along with 9 others to compete Guitar Player’s 2008 Guitar Superstar Of The Year that was judged by greats like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Elliot Easton (Cars), George Lynch (Lynch Mob), and Brendon Small (Adult Swim’s Metalocalyopse).

He didn’t win though, Vicki Genfan, an acoustic guitar wonder did, although Mike managed to give me a lot more goose bumps than she did.

But that’s just me.

Vicki Genfan’s solo.

You can hop over to Mikes site and listen to samples from his new CD Sonic stomps

Or even better - Just buy it - How bad can it be Cool

Marc Broussard, has a new album out called Keep Coming Back. It is very bluesy and as such, I much prefer the harder more intense tracks like Hard Knocks.

I love the base in Why Should She Wait, but for the rest of it, it a little to schmaltzy for me.

Broussard is the most bluesy and soul driven white man you have ever listened to. His first line on the track, “Why Should She Wait,” a collab with Sara Bareilles, has a stinger of a first line that makes you instantly want to hear what Broussard gives on the rest of the track.

I agree with the first line and the great base keeping me there in anticipation, for me, in anticipation of maybe a better next track.

Pig Guitar

pig guitarCan anyone explain this phenomena to me - Who and why would one have a pig decorated guitar, and not only that - who would have a cowboy pig decorated guitar?

Are these the Three Little Pigs gone cowboy to scare the wolf off, or are these three little pigs completely not connected to those three little pigs?

I have go to admit that this makes a nice amusing change from your run of the mill guitar - but what kind of music does this inspire?

Could you really rock on this?

Of course, all the credit for finding this great guitar goes to Guitarz, and if you actually do what to have a guitar like this for yourself, you can go and bid for it on EBay
