Danelectro

Hello,

Can anyone recommend any of the danelectro 30 or 50 amps? I would like to try one out, but is there somewhere i could see/hear a demo in south yorkshire? (leeds and sheffield is reachable by train)

I had a look at the marshall mg30dfx - but i found this to be a little 'bright and thin' at the (low) volumes i wish to use it. I supect it 'comes into it's own' at higher volume levels.

I am only intending to use the amp at home (and be able to move from room to room - sometimes playing with headphones)

Maybe the danelectro would give me the warmer tone i am seeking?

If you can get to Bradford, theres a shop called Aire Guitars that advertises on eBay. They have a couple of Dano amps going at the moment- id quite like one too, just so i dont have to lump my big laney around!!

yes, i can also get to bradford pretty easily. however, i couldn't see any amps in their ebay listing...

i wonder, does the danelectro 30 and 50 have the same features (other than the power output)? what a shame the danelectro site has such scant details......

Ah ha, now thats my fault. They did have a couple of amps knocking around, which is why i got confused. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& item=920563141 heres one, but its in cambridge. (sorry bout my lower case writing, but im eating spaghetti at the same time!)

anyways, id send aire guitars an email, as they are very hot on the Dano stuff and seem to have a steady supply.

True. All i can find about the amps are that the dirty thirty is a 10 watt, and the nifty fifty is a 15 watt. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/search/detail/ base_pid/481852/sou... 0345506436208323058 has a little info about the fifty.

Other than that, im afraid its a case of trawling the search engines for info!
