Does anyone take guitar lessons, or give them, on the web cam? I was wondering if it is done and how it works?

You bring up an interesting concept that I've never considered or thought of, actually. I'm a self taught musician, just from listening to music, watching music videos/concerts, etc., and YouTube tutorials.

I don't own a webcam, but online video instruction sounds like an interesting idea, anyway.

I'll try to do some research, and let you know what else I can find out, too!

I guess we are in the same boat. I just thought that the vid cam could be a great solution... you can see and hear and so can your teacher...

If I were to seriously consider taking lessons online, the only place I'd go would be George Lynch's Guitar Dojo, as a fan of his music and unique style.

Other than that, videos & CD's work well for me, for free lessons and unlimited practice time.

What are you trying to learn that you can't teach yourself to do, anyway?

I went to school with a guy who was a huge Lynch fan, me having more of punk roots I was'nt tapped in. I may never be able to play like him, but I do now love to listen to Dokken and other music in the genre. This was obviously years ago .. (Mr. Scary)
