Ever have one of those days?

For Strat's with a tremlo, there's always that little scratch plate that covers the springs in the back. I accidently called it the 'Prick guard' to my wife the other night.

So now Strat's will always have a 'pick guard' and a 'prick guard'. )

Wondering if I should sign my name now... Bill Jehle

Dunno about that, but getting your short'n'curlies caught in the springs is unpleasant. Don't ask how I know.

Maybe something to do with a Chilli Peppers tribute band and a loose sock?

Nothing so glamorous, sadly. Simply twiddling (guitar, I should emphasize) late at night after a bath. (Even I don't play in the bath... well, guitar, anyway.)

guard'.

It's called 'surplus to requirements'! Actally it could be re-engineered with a central quickrelease catch (or spring clips into the cavity sides?) and the recessed flush rather than surface mount. The best version I've seen so far is on Blade guitars and has 2 elongated keyhole slots which line up with the claw adjuster screws.
