Hi!
I found amd plan to buy a used Fender Twin Reverb with Scorpion speakers - but I haven't heard of these drivers. I tought Twins were mainly assembled with Jensen or JBL speakers. Do you think these Scorpion speakers are factory original? Thanks

but one thing he did was put in two deferent speakers a Cal. Weber and a Jensen. I guess the theory is each speaker gives you a deferent sound. I believe some other amp builders do the same thing. That might be a thought of something to do when you get the amp. Speakers are like pickups you don't really no what you have until there in. I also have a Twin reverb II ( 83-86) it has the fender speakers it one of the best twins I've heard. But also having some work done on it ,I was told it's had some moods done. Another thing to keep in mind if you change the speakers there is a break in time, I was amazed how much the sound changed in my Fargen. You also said you found a used twin if you like the sound just leave it be..

Is that a Rivera designed amp? In the studio where I work we have a Deluxe Reverb II. Sweet cleans and a lot of gain for a Fender.
it has the fender speakers it one of the best twins I've heard. But

Scorpion speakers are (were?) made by Peavey.

True! A single *PV* scorp speaker, 4 ohm, was in my 79 twin for a time...of course the amp was never above 3 (used a Chandler tube driver in front), but it sounded great. I've just brought it out of storage and restored it; only have 2-6L6's in it now (65W is plenty, thank you!), so I'm looking for a single 8 ohm speaker that will handle more power. I've settled on the Eminence Swamp Thang; anyone have any exp. with that speaker?
