Fretboard radius / neck profile question

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone can tell me the pros and cons of various fretboard radii? Just wondering, as the guitars I play most have a 13.5 inch radius. Looking at Fenders, the new USA standard strats are only about 9.5, the vintage are 7.5. Much more curvy.

So is it a case of 'straight is great, and curvy is pervy'?

Also, when people talk about v shaped and c shaped necks, are they talking about how pointy the back of the neck feels?
