Hello all,
I have a simple request that seems to be complex for reasons I am not too sure of, although scarcity and rareness may play a factor.
I have a 1978 (or thereabouts) Swedish Les Paul style guitar known as a Hagstrom Patch 2000. These are basically a the same as a Hagstrom Swede or Super Swede guitar outside of some special added synth electronics.
I need a few parts for the guitar and have been successul in finding a strap button, but outside of that, I am still in need. Here is a list of the parts I need if anyone can help out. I am looking for Hagstrom brand parts, original or NOS, but will of course consider other brands, i.e. any Swedish guitar from the late 1970's, or even reproduction parts that fit the need. Here is the list:
1) A pickup selector toggle switch knob in white/ivory color. Also known as the 'Treble/Bass' selector switch on a traditional Les Paul. The knob screws on, just like on the LP guitar but the Hagstrom used smalled threads. I have tried an 'import' Les Paul knob with the smaller 1/8th diameter threads and this too, while close, was still a little too large in the threading.
2) A set of volume/tone knobs. I have a complete set but wish to acquire a set for backup.
3) A pick guard. The Patch 2000 had a rectangular slot on the pick guard for a rocking toggle box switch and this part is most likely very specific to the Hagstrom Patch 2000 and cannot be substituted with a traditional Swede and Super Swede pick guard.
4) A chrome bridge cover. Or saddle bridge cover. These were chrome and mine has some pitting.
5) A couple more of the brushed nickle strap buttons, also for spares just in case.
Any other Patch 2000 specific parts too. Included in the Patch 2000 Pedal Set with cables made by Ampeg! I will pay above market value for any of these parts should you be able to assist me in finding them.
I am not a reseller and these parts will be used to help keep my Patch 2000 in good working order and stored in my collection to be handed down to my children. In other means, I am not somebody trolling the Internet in hopes of finding parts to re-sell at ridiculous prices on eBay. I am a good soul trying to keep a good guitar alive and playing so he can hand it down to his children so they can do the same.
If you have any of these parts, please send me the listing with prices to the email below. If you have any other resources you think I should try (and I have tried everybody who I could find through a Google search but may have missed somebody or a forum), also email me to the address below.
Lastly, I posted about this some time back and someone emailed me about having access to parts but I tried emailed back twice and never received a response so I don't know if my email ISP is blocked or what, but I will try to email this person via another address of mine today also.
Again, any late 1970's Swedish made guitar may very well have some of these parts I need such as
the strap buttons and the pickup selector (treble/bass) switch knob! Thanks to anyone and everyone who can assist me. It is really appreciated as I have been looking for these parts for months and months now without success.
Peace to all.
