Cool Your Gonna Love The Guitar
I Know I Do Anyways It Can Be Alot Of Things
That Are Stopping Your Progress To Learn

One Of The Many Common Things Are The Guitars
Have Old Strings On Them Changeing Them May Cure The Tone Problem and It May Not But it Is Always Good To Have a Fresh Set To Solve Problems
Which I Can Go Into The Most Common Things
Beginners Face Maybe It Will Be One of The Easy Things To Correct

# 1 Cheap Guitars
They All Need Setup Correctly Sooner Or Later
if You Have No Knowledge See Your Local Store

So If it Is Standard Tuning
And You Tuned Up Recheck All The Strings Again
Make Sure Its Spot On You May Even Have To Retune
After a Few Songs

Then You Need To Do a Fine Tuneing Check Up This Is Where You Will Push On The 5 Fret E Bass String And Strike The E And Open A Strings Together
Listen For A Beating Sound Like a Heart Beat
If You Hear It Beating Tune Your A String Tuner
In Either Direction Untill The Beating Slows And Stops Restrike The Strings Again And Listen Again
Is It Good ? Make Adjustments To The A String If Needed

Then You Can Fine Tune The A And D Strings
By Pressing Down The A String 5th Fret
And Strikeing The A And Open D Strings Together
Again Listen For The Beating sound Adjust The Open D String Untill Beating Gos Away

Then D String 5th Fret and Open G String
Same Process

G String 4th Fret And Open B String
Repete Process

B Sting 5th Fret And Open Small E String

thanks mate...I will try re stringing my guitar with new strings...well I have been standard tuning it...mostly listening to the mp3 's present on about.com ..
one more question...in my guitar the strings are not attached to the bridge..rather they go over at the bridge and then are connected further down at the lower end of the guitar...could that be causing it to sounding it different.

What Kind Of Guitar Is It ?

Is It A Archtop Type Of Guitar
Where You Can Slide The Bridge Anywhere You want ?
If So Yeah It Could Possably Be Out Of Place If

If This Is The Case
Messure From Where The String Leaves The Nut
To The Center Of The 12 Th Fret Now Double The
Reading And Set Your String To Touch The Bridge
At This Point From The Nut To The Bridge

Sets Your Intoneation
If Theirs Anything i Can Do For You Just Ask
