First off - all very nice tunes great work - second I will say that the samples on the 880 do sound a bit better somehow there is a sharper attack and more of a sense of realism to it - are you sure it just wasn't your recording technique maybe the 880 being new you plugged it in more directly and it's not getting lost in the efx chain or something - either way both machines sound great - but due to the cost I might have to stay away from the 880 - does the 770 also have control of the bass and drum outputs separately - thanks

DR-880. Outstanding control of everything, I like it a lot, fairly easy to use since you know the other one. Worth the money in my experience.

Have a Boss-DR-670 but I can't control the bass guitar output level vs. the drums anyone know a machine that I can control both? Or that has separate outputs for each even better.

SNIP > this one is a little WOW - I always wondered why they didn't do that and figured it was too hard/memory required etc. - THAT IS AMAZING - there's the realism and you're right about the cymbals - got the page bookmarked do a good job

Maybe I missed it. Does what?

Seriously, I have gotten more professional mileage and usefulness out of my Boss Dr.5 than any piece of gear I can think of. I bought it new for over $400 new way back when, and they go for about $135 or something used on eBay now. Still, one of the best buys I ever made.

I have a DR-670 which I use for bass guitar and drums BUT you can't control the level of the drums vs. the bass - at least far as I can tell looking over everything - so I want a drum machine with bass where I can adjust the drums and the bass - of course even better would be if they had separate output jacks

DR-880 allows assignment of outs to whatever outs you would like.

Thanks for taking the time to investigate. Yes I'm starting to get the feeling the 880 is the ultimate solution. $$$ Darn it!!! but I guess you get what you pay for and it's worth it going by the way it sounds on your website. BTW amazing a machine as it is that is some nice sequencing you programmed in.
