I have a Gibson ES335 with PAF pups. The sound from the neck pup is not nearly as loud as the sound from the bridge pup. When switched to the neck pup only, I need to turn the volum up to 6 or 7 before I get any noticeable sound.
All of the electronics were just cleaned. As far as we no, all oxidation has been removed.

The volume pot does have some affect but the neck pickup is extremely less loud than the neck pup.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Hmm Been Along Time Since i Owned a 335
Last One Was Very Similer To Your Sound
Because They Are Made to Sound Warmer
I Had To Use a EQ Or Booster To Get The Increese Of Volume And Because Its More Then likely Showing Its Age Too

First you should check the distance between the bridge pick up and the strings. Then check the neck pick up. You might need to adjust the height of the neck pickup in order to match the output volume from the bridge pickup. Hope this helps.
