having just watched in the flesh dvd on a huge screen with very large LOUD speakers and then listening to the cd version today on headphones, there is quite a bit of difference in the way the two were mixed.

the cd does seem to sound a bit muddled and not nearly as crisp as the dvd.

now, i'm not sure if this has to do with the medium used to present the music, or just a bad mix job, but i do greatly prefer the dvd version of the music.

now muskie, if you're out there, i'm not saying this is the worst mix job in the history of recorded music, but the dvd is much crisper and clearer.

however, i feel the bass is too heavy on both of them, and the sound effects are a bit low in the mix.

the explosion before get your filthy hands off my desert was amazing at extremely loud volumes last friday, as was most of the album on the dvd version. listening to the cd release just now, i was a bit dissappointed.

oh well

Please tell Quag for me that's one of the better derogatory phrases I've read recently.
