Me too, I think my first real crush was for Mary Hopkin, although Ann Margaret was up there too. I have Postcard on CD, it has Those Were The Days sung in both Italian and Spanish as bonus tracks along with the U.S. flipside, Pete Seeger's Turn Turn Turn. Those Were The Days was also recorded in French and German. I have read that she was a bit bewildered and somewhat unhappy with some of the songs Paul had her do. Personally, I love the way Paul produced her, I think his work on this LP compliments her voice perfectly. Harry Nilsson contributed The Puppy Song, and Donovan chipped in Lord Of The Reedy River, on which he plays acoustic along with Paul, and sings a backup vocal. Her second Apple LP, Earth Song/Ocean Song was more Mary's preferred Style. This time produced by Tony Visconti, with Ralph McTell and Dave Cousins playing guitars (as does Mary), and Gallagher and Lyle, who worked for Apple at the time, writing some of the songs for the LP. This one doesn't get as much mention, which is a shame really, because I think its the best of the two LPs. The CD has no bonus tracks. A compilation LP was also released on Apple, Those Were The Days, containing tracks from the two mentioned above, along with some singles and b-sides, including Temma Harbour, and Goodbye. I have never been able to find the cd, so I don't know if any bonus tracks were included. Mary has been quite active, working with The Cheiftans, Under Milkwood with George Martin, and tours fairly regularly. The best site I've found on the web is this one
