My fender guitar strings break quite a bit, and I was wondering if there was something I could do to prolong their life? I play the guitar daily, and use a 0.8,mm pick.

Alot of times its sharp on the bridge holes where the strings come up and angled to the saddles, with a dremmel you can try to smooth them or I've heard of some who use something to buffer the string at this point, using a variety of differnt things. Because it's before the saddle it should'nt have any effect on the sounding of the string.
