My Les Paul

Hello,

I purchased Les Paul custom in 1973 in a music store outside of Washington D.C. I played in several bands for years, but stop and did pick up the guitar for years. I recently started taking lessons and playing again. I took the guitar to a recent lesson with my instructor. He was amazed at seeting the guitar. He said it looked like a reissure of a 1958 Les Paul Gold Top standard. He suggested I find out as much as I could about the guitar and get it appraised and insurred. The serial number is 684088. I have attached a couple of pictures as well. I would appreciate anything you can tell me about the guitar.
