Hi all, Does any one hear use the POD-PowerAmp-Cab set-up on stage & if so have ya got any reccomendation on a power amp to use in such a set-up. Lighter the better really, probably mono as I'm not sure how stereo amps handle just using 1 input/output channel. Ta

well if you are using a pod, it is stereo, but I presume your cab isn't, from what you've said (although it might be possible to convert it).

I use a Pod Pro into a Samson Servo 260 power amp (about £160). I then feed this into a pair of Yamaha Se12 PA speakers - I personally prefer to run the pod in studio mode (with speaker cab emulation) and then into full range speakers - its a lot closer to the sounds I use for recording, although you get a different sound at volume anyway, so some tweaking is needed.

It works well for me, as the rig is also used for keyboards, and its a lot easier having one rig, rather than two.

Cheers

I have used a POD into a Tech21 PowerStation combo live to good effect (no pun intended). Basically its a flat response 1 * 12 PA in a combo sized box around £350. I also use it as the FX side from my Cornford :-

Gtr -> pedals -> Cornford -> FX send -> G-Major Left Out -> FX return G-Major Right Out -> PowerStation
