Price Guess for an 80s Fender Beasty..

I've got a mate, (Not me I'm a Gibson/Gordon Smith man!) Who has a Jap Off white/cream Fender Katana, I know these are fairly rare in the UK (& ugly the world over anyone know how much one of these is worth these days' it's in damn good nick & I think still has it's original fender case. He's not a net user & thinks Fenders generaly aren't worth that much second hand. Thanks

he's talking about, the model he's selling is Korean made. Which has a bolt on neck with dot inlay's & a more basic body shape, 1 pick-up, crap trem etc.... The propper fender has a gibson style glued in neck, tiny shark fin fret markers, binding, locking trem 2 pickups & is a far superior guitar to what he's passing off. anyway have a closer look & compare the 2 for yourselves. http://home.sprintmail.com/~rexorliz/b122800.html The real Fender version
