Is there any chance of Roger re-joining Floyd ever!!?? I hear that him and Gilmour still dislike each other. Well, its seems to be more Roger's fault. He's forever holding on to the grudge between the two when it seems like Gilmour wants badly to bury the hatchet so to speak (i.e 'Keep Talking' Your thoughts and comments please! Take care.

In a word, no. From what I've read in interviews, there is a vanishingly small probability of that ever happening. But let us turn the question around and ask instead, what would a reunion of the 70s-era Floyd accomplish, musically.

Much more than the 80's-90's era Floyd, that's for sure. To me there was no Pink Floyd after Waters. Then again David Bowie was quoted saying something like 'there was no Pink Floyd after Syd'. The sad thing is Pink Floyd is one of the few legendary groups with all members still alive. Yet because of pure stubbornness, refuse to reunite. Maybe next year's 30th anniversary of DSOTM will spark things up. Than again......maybe not.

My own view is that any permanent reunion is very very unlikely, especially since, at the most, Floyd have only one more studio album left in them.
I think a one off reunion thing for a gig is more likely, as a farewell sort of thing, but its still not very likely.

My thoughts ? You haven't been paying much attention the last few years if you think Gilmour 'wants badly to bury the hatchet'

I disagree. I think he did want to bury the hatchet. I think he already has, ages ago.
I think they all have. But that does not involve a reunion. It just involves seperation - very probably permanent, certainly indeterminate.

My ass. As I'll point out yet again, the boring music of The Division Bell mixed with Waters' incredibly lame 'Flickering Flame' lyrics sounds anything but appealing.
Yeah, just like it's 25th anniversary I'm sure.

thanks for this overdone topic.
i think both sides are keeping it from happening, and i wonder why it matters.
i don't think after all of this that even if they did get back together that they would do any kind of quality work like they used to.
buy the albums that are available and listen to what you like.

I think they'd ~love~ to bury the hatchet...
Careful with that, er, hatchet, Mr Waters!

I don't know that that's hatchet-burying, so much as having gotten over it. For me, hatchet-burying would need a face-to-face meeting, with handshakes, a long chat, and no one walking out.
Maybe when one of the buggers dies. NO WAY before...
Not, as has been pointed out, that it matters anyway.
