Hi, kulleborn, I'm definitely not an expert on amps but if you can give a bit more info it might help someone here in this Forum identify your amp.

Just be aware amps can and do get modified i.e. People change speakers, change Tolex (covering cloth), change face cloth and in the instance of a separate amp head and speaker 'Box' the box can be from anywhere/any make.

So a couple of questions.

(a) Is it an 'Older' amp if so, approx age?

(b) Is it a 'Head only' amp with a separate speaker box or a 'All in one Combo'?

(c) What colour fabric is the face material?

(d) What colour/material is the covering on the amp, Tolex (Usually Black) or Tweed (Yelowish).

(e) How many speakers, what make, model and speaker diameter? Info should be on the back of the speaker/s?

(d) Does the amp look like any of these http://www.fender.com/en-GB/products/search.php? section=guitaramplifiers

And for fabric on the face of the amp and the amp covering look here http://www.usspeaker.com/amp%20coverings-1.htm

A photo will always help identify anything and save a lot of questions.

All this info will help someone identify your amp.

Good luck I hope this helps.

Bill

Hi the LO serial range goes from 1962 to 1965. 91947 is later 1965.

The best way is if you can get to have a look yourself and if it's what your after buy it there and then, take a guitar if convenient so you can test it...but if it's at a music store they will have a guitar you can use...save you missing out while waiting for an answer on a Forum site.

Good luck.

I'm not suggesting a second guessing, just that if the amp dates from '65 I would want to see it and test it before I handed over any money for a 45+ year old amp, unless of course it was so cheap I was prepared to take a gamble

Bill, Thank you so much and I have been playing feneders for years and it has the right serial number and it is a 67 showman, someone changed the cover to a dark brown and did a desent job, The tube chart is scratched up but does use 4 6l6's and 4 12ax7.someone just took out the 6l6's probably to use them, but it looks like it works and I am going to light up the other tubes wjhich you can do and I don't see any smoke or smell it and the main power transformer looks a little old but I look a little old to , I am 63 and it is 67 and that's a few years worth of use.........

They are selling on ebay for 500.00 to 700.00 if they are in near perfect condition........thanks for the info and I will let you know how it turns out.....I wished I could find some cheap 6l6l's and If everything worked perfect I would keep it. It came with one 15" in a single cabinet back in 67....thanks, jay
