I bought my son a Squirer stat package for Xmas.
Tha amp is now dead. Tried different kettle leads etc. He swears he did nothing to it, just turned it up to 5-6 volume. Before taking it back to the shop, does it have a cut-out or something simple I should know about? It is competely dead, no power light.
Also the 5th and 4th strings (calling the fat one 6, forgive my lack of musical knowledge
) hit the frets when fingered 3 or 4 frets down, this buzzes, does this mean the action or neck needs adjustement? A job for the shop or do I have a go myself, bearing in mind I am sensible but a bit musically challenged.
