Steve Lukather

Hello out there.

Does anybody have any steve lukather stuff. Bootlegs or in facts guitar tabs

Wasn't there something in Guitar Techniques a month or so ago? Sorry can't be more specific at the moment. Mail me if you need more info.

Didn't he do the guitar solo on Lionel Ritchie's Hello?

Isn't that the jazzy one with octaves etc? Doesn't sound like Lukather, he does play solos on Richie's 'Running with the Night' though.

There's an mpeg video with Lukather, Santana and Jeff Beck on Kazaa - 'Super Boogie'. Lukather's a bit shreddy, but you get to see some signature stuff like the chromatically ascending runs.

Aha! Mystery finally solved! I was told the above by a big Lukather fan when I asked who played it, but I wasn't entirely convinced.

Yes it is. A very nicely composed piece that fits very well.

AFAIK Joe Walsh plays the first solo, Lukather the second.

Check out every other bit of guitar apart from the solo in Beat It by Michael Jackson.

But if you want a real treat get hold of No Substitutions - Live In Osaka. Luke and Larry Carlton in absolutely amazing form.
