Lit drummer Allen Shellenbuerger, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, and a lot is being done in the music community to help with his medical expenses.
for example Steve Vai is currently auctioning off a one hour personal one on one guitar lesson, the highest bid so far $5000. The bids will be closed on Oct. 9th.
Here is a description of exaclty what the winner will get:
One lucky winner will receive a one hour private guitar lesson with Steve Vai at a date, time, and location to be determined in Los Angeles, CA. The winner will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. Winner will receive a photo with Steve, but the lesson may NOT be filmed or recorded. If under 18, the winner must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. (Note: high bidder will be subject to standard security procedures prior to being accepted as official winner.)
Many other artists have stepped up to contribute help Allen Shellenberger including including Sheryl Crow, James Taylor, Disturbed, Pennywise, Korn, Rush and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
