Dear All

Does anyone have any ideas on the benefits of series strat pickup wiring. I'm tempted to fit a pull switch to wire either the neck pickup in series with the bridge pickup, or the middle pickup in series with the bridge pickup. The intention would be to get an extra sound, something with the power and extra beef of a full humbucker. Obviously, this is going to increase the hum rather than reduce it. Any Brian May tracks to listen to for thoughts?

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Hi,

see my post regarding 'Re-wiring my strat??'. In this link there are some schematics which might also be useful. Let me know how you get on...

In the Brian May guitar switching on 2 pickups in series reduces the hum, not increases it.
