John admitted to sleeping around quite a bit on Cynthia (with Joan Baez on one occasion, no less). Yoko has mentioned John was up to his old tricks during 1972 (pre-lost weekend). He was also secretly seeing May Pang up until the late 70s.

In Q Magazine's April ' 03 article on the 50 most outrageous stars ever, John Lennon came in at # 30, described as a 'groupie grabbing, acid-guzzlin' messiah'. He had 'the greatest capacity(concerning Beatle excesses) for-variously-drink,speed,acid,heroin,'birds', and thinking he was the new Messiah'...'His first hit composition,'Please Please Me', concerned his passion for blow jobs-not common subject matter in 1962. Immediately before showtime during Beatlemania,he would demand a speedy 'knee-trembler' with a star struck fan'. Which might explain why the Beatles quit touring around the time Hendrix started hittin' the spotlight!
