Quite possibly the two largest touring acts when they were STILL TOURING....what about them??? These two bands have been the figureheads of the psychedelic scene oh since about 1960....didn't they EVER jam together???? Any live instances of them playing each others songs?????? Thanks

We played with the Grateful Dead tribute band Cubenis on several occasions. Cubensis often plays Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Time and our guitar or bass player sits in with them. 'It was a cruel song, but fair' Roger Waters, commenting on 'You Gotta Be Crazy,' Los Angeles, California 4/26/75. http://www.garageband.com

Hai, Jerry Garcia and David Gilmour played on Transver City of Warren Zevon ('89). (Not together). Niel Young played on a track too. Nice album of Warren.

Honestly, no, but what I have heard has not made me want to go out and pursue them further. I've heard stuff other then what's on the radio; some kid I used to know had some of their stuff and listened to it fairly often, but I can't recall what I've heard.

You don't have to take the whole pineapple into your ass to know it hurts.

You should pick up an album, if only because it's better than Ambien, Sominex, and NyQuil combined for curing insomnia.

I think perhaps some of their very very psychadelic stuff puts people off (though not me.)

However they did some great melodic stuff too, very accessable, country type stuff, really nice harmonies etc, but with a bit of psychadelic flavour.

You should give it another go. I have friend who gave me a bootleg of a 1975 concert. Its great.

They're both on the Zabriskie Point sndtrk, but not together. They both hammered out background music to the love scene, but Garcia's was picked.

Well, it goes like this (from a true conversation between your truly and a GD fan): 'Well, I *have* listened to their stuff and I still don't get it,' and they tell you, 'You have to SEE THEM LIIIIVE, MAN.'

And when you tell them, 'Well, I *have* seen them live...' then they tell you, 'But were you EXPERIENCING THE SHOW??' which is the same as the above.

Myself, I find that the Dead's music is best during a party where people are talking, and you're only occasionally drawn to listen to what's in the CD player (and you hear only a few seconds at a

Um, I guess I could've edited, huh?

Oh well.
