What can I say?

Excellent as usual. The second half of the set went down a storm.

If you ever get the chance to catch Wide Open, go for it! And especially at The Talbot in Wrexham. It is a superb venue. A great atmosphere, good acoustics and a crowd that appreciate music/bands.

I also got chance to meet another ukmg regular, Ian Griffiths, top chap, who seemed impressed, but I'll let him leave his own comments.

Ian

My spell checker just offered me an alternative for the word Wrexham. It was Wreckage!!

I was typing in a friend's surname (Perrett) and it came up with *pervert*. Spookily accurate, these spell-checkers!

Great to meet you too! nice to put some faces to names!

Wideopen are without a doubt the single most impressive and entertaining pub band i have ever seen, infact they out-play most pro bands ive seen too!

Rick's vocals and guitar playing were exceptional. James was excellent on the keyboards, on the rare occasion he played guitar he played extremely well indeed, really rather jealous! Scoop and Dave were brilliant performers, Dave always had a HUGE smile on his face and this was rubbing off on the audience, brilliant show. Scoop told me he had a cold and apologised for his off singing, no worries, sounded great to me! As for Justin, brilliant! Red House and Little Wing made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Its been a fair few years since i have seen a guitarist play with as much feel and tastefulness as Justin, truly amazing.

Thanks for that guys!

I was debating with Mr Myatt if the show has inspired me or made me want to cut my hands off. It definitely inspired me. Played for 8 hours at least this morning and i still havn't had enough.

Brilliant! cant wait to see you again! role on February

Incase you hadn't noticed..... you have gained another fan

seen too!

It's the UKMG equivalent of a 'supergroup'.
