And since Steve doesn't know we're talking behind his back, I'll add my endorsement too. Splendid feller. Witty, incisive and opinionated. Always calls a spade a hand-held earth-rearrangement device! Eater of fine wine and drinker of only the best fromage.
I managed but the briefest of chats with Steve at Wigan and I'm regretful that I wasn't able to attend the blues workshop Sunday morning. I had so many questions and so little time.
But Jim Nugent is a fount of information, and his gear-related posts are mandatory reading.
And Adrian Clark, his knowledge of modes and other aspects of music theory make for an avid readership. And he serves it with great humour too.
Ian Myatt, a fellow DC-2 owner. How could I possibly *NOT* want to read Ian's posts??? (BTW that's an amplifier, not an aeroplane.)
Steve Dix and I had a gloriously, riotously funny exchange going on regarding a pair of blustering buffoons purchasing CDs and watching movies. Well, *we* thought it was funny anyway
Paul Creedy's hand built guitar that I held at Wigan was a gem, a beautiful, beautiful piece of work. I'll certainly be looking out for Paul's posts from here on in. I really don't think it's going to be too long before Paul achieves his ambition to be a luthier. If Paul can maintain the quality of work of the instrument he had at Wigan, he'll never be short of work. So when is the Creedy Tele likely to make an appearance?
In fact, thinking about it as I type, I don't have a favourite poster per se. I just like the NG as a whole. Come on everybody, group hug and self-congratulatory back slapping all round. Generally, even our disagreements are handled with civility and decency. And that's no mean achievement these days.
